Translate data exchange efficiently for optimal collaboration.
AD Data Exchange involves the process of translating data from one CAD system to another. The growing number of CAD systems makes this process increasingly complicated. By using CAD Data Exchange solutions, PCSI Design helps facilitate a smooth exchange between our customers and partners.
There are essentially three ways to handle these translations:
- Intermediate Exchange Formats
- Direct CAD System Ability (Import and Export)
- Third Party Data Translators
Common file formats translated include the specific file extensions of the various CAD systems, as well as common formats including STEP, IGES, DXF, ParaSolid, and DWG.
While most of the translation involves solid, wireframe, and surface data information, PCSI Design also handles the translation of feature data, metadata, and assembly structure data.
